Biomedical Engineering Student Organization (BMES)
The mission of BMES is to help introducing fellow students to the profession, the social roles and the obligations of a biomedical engineer. BMES also promotes social interactions and exchange of ideas between all levels of undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty.  Please contact Robert Wiegmann (President), Kelly Phouyaphone (Vice President), Amandeep Chawla (Social Chair), or Kelvin Hung (Tech/Academic Chair).

CIT Pre-Medical Network Initiative
The CIT Pre-Medical Network was established to foster relationships between undergraduate students and medical professionals.  The emphasis of the program is on acquiring career guidance and information, developing a professional networking, building confidence and commitment to medicine through majoring in engineering, and gaining valuable academic and professional advice.  In addition, the group will discuss relevant health and medical issues and ethics.  Lastly, the group will promote community amongst those with similar goals of medical school or careers.

Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
The mission of SWE is to stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, to expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and to demonstrate the value of diversity.  The chapter at CMU provides support network to students pursuing a degree in engineering, allowing for aspiration, advancement, and achievement through various social and professional events that benefit students, the university, as well as the community

Technical Opportunities Conference (TOC)
The TOC attracts Carnegie Mellon's technical students and provides a way for companies to personally meet talented students interested in full time or summer internship positions. The TOC is an annual event sponsored by the Carnegie Institute of Technology and organized by the student chapter of the Society of Women Engineers.
